Level Design

We designed our levels using Microsoft Excel so that we could map out the exact lengths of our levels and platforms. This allowed us to then implement the levels in Unity using rectangle blocks to create our platforms and se their lengths to a scaled up version of what is seen below.

Level Implementation

Level 1 - City Land: Zigi traversing the first level in the real world, jumping over obstacles to make his way towards the end of the city.


Level 1 - City Water: Zigi swimming through a maze within the water world to bypass an area he couldn't jump to.


Level 2 - Forest Land: Zigi facing off with a wild bird (model WIP).


Level Design relation to Game Mechanic

Each level is designed in such a way that to either progress through the level or to collect extra trophies the game mechanic Puddle Jumping will be required. Whether a platform is out or reach or a button is located high up in the sky, water droplets and a well will be available within the area to allow the player to jump between worlds and overcome the challenges put before them.


Game Expo

The Game Expo is being held on Saturday, December 4th 2021. Our game will be launching here on Itch.io on this date and we look forward to having you play our game.
